3506 S. Broadway AHU Study

Sigma-Aldrich – St. Louis, Missouri

Develop a project budget opinion and scope of work to replace an indoor AHU with RTU to allow for future process equipment. Air Handler 3 is selected with 42°F entering chilled water and a 14°F rise in chilled water.  This selects a larger cooling coil and assists in keeping the chilled water loop at a high differential temperature; thereby, keeping the chillers operating at their highest performance.  It is understood that humidity control for the space served is not critical of upper and lower tolerances or limits, so the low discharge air temperature is not required (for a dry space) and the humidifier is not required (to maintain a minimum humidity).
